For clients receiving care, Millennium Home Health Care is a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Health information about our clients is used and disclosed only as permitted by law, principally for treatment, payment and health care operations, and is protected by administrative, physical and technical safeguards. Clients receive our full Notice of Privacy Practices at the start of service, which explains these rights in detail, including the right to access and request corrections to records.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with those who need it to provide or pay for care, for example your health plan, Medicaid, physicians involved in care, and service providers who work on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, or where the law requires it.
